The 2005 painting of St. Peter, Kansas is based on an old photograph taken on the north side of the town looking west.

The photograph was imaged c. 1912-1915. At the time there were no lamps or streetlights. That was easily taken care of with a full moon balanced with a large and dissipating Great Plains thunderstorm.
