Like many Boomers, I truly enjoyed the 1964-1966 series "The Munsters." In early 2015, for some zany reason, I wanted to paint the Tom Daniel designed Drag-U-La. I purchased AMT's classic model kit, assembled it, drew a rough and then another tightened up sketch.

With plenty of images of the class act, Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster, it was easy to put the design together. I thought about the background and colors so I borrowed from the period Gold Key comic book covers.

Another reason I may have liked the Munsters was Jack Marshall's theme song. Trippy four bar tuba solo in the 1964 version!
