After buying a small diecast model of the Batgyro, I saw it would be fun to work it around the Pitcairn Autogyro. The little model had gull wings with the trailing edge bat motif or pattern. I simply did a perspective drawing, added the details, and transferred the drawing to illustration board. In the old comics, Batman was having problems with Dr. Doom and Doom's dirigible was perfect. Tilting the horizon line, a high climb of the Batgyro, and the dirigible above, was just right.
