First in a series of three Star Trek: The Original Series spaceship paintings.

It seems fair to say I am a bit of a Trekkie. Being in high school when NBC's Star Trek premiered on television, it did grab my attention. The spaceships,The USS Enterprise, the D-7 Klingon Battle Cruiser both designed by Walt Jeffries, and the Romulan Bird of Prey planned and constructed by Wah Ming Chang certainly raised my eyebrows.

I loosely based the Romulan Bird of Prey on the14th episode, Balance of Terror, premiered on StarTrek's first year's series. Fun and enjoyable to paint!
