Another architectural delight, Spanish or otherwise, was the Tamale built in 1928 and located at 6421 Whittier Boulevard in East Los Angeles. The decades old Hispanic food diner is still in existence as Charley's Beauty Salon. The painting is in the 1950s era with a couple and their '32 Ford rod. They just might be having thoughts of sampling the intriguing dish, Spanish Delight.
