In 2010, I was asked to display in an area automobile art show.  The somewhat devilish side of me wanted to poke a bit of fun at some of the oil patch toolpushers' stories.  Even then the idea was there, but thepainting didn't quite have the story and the staging was dead wrong.
In 2012 I was able to pull the tongue-in-cheek painting together.

One friend said the 1959 Cadillac's tag should read "Oil Field Trash".
Good idea, but it later dawned on me the painting is set c. 1960.
The words then were "Oil Field Riff Raff".  Perfect!

In no uncertain terms, a friend badgered me to no end
to paint the Caddi pink.  No problem, as white and pink were in.
The scene is on the north side of the Saline River Valley,
south of Codell, Kansas, with the landmark Devil's Card Table in the distance.
